【 Artist Profile 】

Artist : Aki Sakaida
Origin : Akita, Japan
Medium : Glass

A glass artist based in Akita Prefecture.
Through a distinctive technique of burning wax onto the glass surface and gently smoking it, she creates ambiguous and ephemeral traces on the material.

These marks evoke the quiet beauty of natural landscapes, resonating with the viewer’s inner emotions. She continues to create pieces filled with a sense of poetic sentiment, as if the burned traces overlap with someone’s own inner scenery.
