Araga’s works are distinguished by their refined forms, shaped with exceptional wheel-throwing technique, and the soft, warm white characteristic of kohiki (white slipware), reflecting the influence of Korean Joseon dynasty pottery.
In particular, the Nama-keshou (raw slip) technique creates a uniquely creamy texture, while the Hibi-kohiki series features fine crackle patterns that gradually absorb color over time, deepening in character and gaining richness with use.
