About Tokoname ware teapot
With a long history and tradition dating back to the Edo period, it is one of Japan's leading production areas for teapots.
Tokoname-yaki teapots are made from soil that contains a lot of iron oxide, so it is said that when used, the tannins in the tea react with it, removing the bitterness and making the tea mellow and delicious.
Since the lids that match the main body of the teapot are rubbed one by one, there is no leakage and it is comfortable to use.
The more you use it, the more lustrous it becomes.
