【 Artist Profile 】

Artist : Miyo Oyabu
Origin : Okinawa Prefecture, Japan
Material : Glass

Formerly working in the fashion industry, Miyo Oyabu transitioned into glassmaking and now personally handles every step of the process—from design to blowing, shaping, and finishing—entirely on her own.

Her glass pieces, with delicate air bubbles suspended within, possess a soft, almost fluid texture and an inviting warmth that belies the material’s cool nature.
When sunlight passes through, they cast gentle, rippling shadows reminiscent of shimmering water. Through tableware, objects, and lighting pieces, she creates a rich variety of expressions, each revealing a different facet of glass.
