Asamiya, Shiga Prefecture
Asamiya is located on the border of Kyoto and Shiga prefectures. Said to be the oldest tea-producing area in Japan, it is said to be one of Japan's five major tea brands. At an altitude of about 400m, the temperature difference between day and night is large, and the climate is foggy, making it an extremely suitable place for tea cultivation.
We recommend storing Japanese green tea in a cool, dark place. Avoid places with high humidity, strong light, and strong odors.
